Jamal Amin
Jamal Amin was born in 1971 in Palembang, South Sumatra. His artistic inclinations started young. In 1990/91 he completed his art study in Palembang. He was given the opportunity to teach art in both Palembang and Bali in 1993. Many of his works can be found in his home country Indonesia as well as overseas.
As a full time artist, he is constantly honing his skills and techniques. The signature look of his works is evident in the bright hues he works with, the subject matter of a typical Balinese culture and landscape.
The theme “Spirit of Life” is a philosophy that encompasses Jamal Amin’s works. The artist wishes to convey a message that in life, all living matters, transcends a universal balance and harmony with each other.
