Although Singapore is a small country without spectacular mountains or panoramic view of lakes, in the name of environment protection, the government has over the years spent substantial sum of money to beautify our existing lakes and hills. These beautified spots have since become popular places for our people to pass their leisure or to do exercise. Artist Ho Kah Leong loves nature and likes to paint outdoor scenes. Almost every Sunday, he will invariably go with his artist friends to capture beautiful scenes in Singapore on canvass. During the past couple of years, he has painted quite a number of landscapes. He has now chosen 13 pieces of them to reproduce into a desk calendar for 2010. The objective to launch this art exhibition is to raise fund for “Make-A-Wish Foundation”, a charity committed to grant the heartfelt wishes of children who have a life-threatening illness. 30% of the proceeds from the sale of the paintings and 300 copies of the desk calendar priced at S$10 each will be donated to this Foundation. Exhibition will run from 16 to 29 October, 11 am to 7 pm daily.
